y don't you do this instead ...." or "Maybe we should look at something else ..." You know, using the element of distraction rather than 'no-ing' the whole day long.
So, the little one saw my new bracelet today and couldn't resist the temptation not to touch it ... I ultimately had to resort to the big N-O after all my 'why-don't-you's' and 'perhaps-you-should's'. That word got her attention pronto and this is what followed ...
A "Hmmmm .... I think mummy's
really serious this time ... " ...
and a big sorry hug ...
