That's how it was like yesterday ... tipping down with rain, something which is pretty unusual for London. It usually only just drizzles ... constantly. We did not allow the grey skies and wet roads deter us from a day out though cos' we left pretty early for a drive up to Bicester (a town near Oxford) and stopped by the Oxford Service rest area, which in my opinion, is one of the best pit stops I have ever seen ... so BIG, so BRIGHT, so CHEERY, so much FOOD!!! We were pretty ravenous by mid-morning so the hearty breakfast we had was wolfed down in record time!
We then continued on our drive to Bicester, where we braved the massive pellets of rain drops to go shopping at the Bicester Village Outlet. I managed to get a cutesy black waistcoat at a bargain basement price from Monsoon and hubby got a pair of cool Timberland shoes at an an unbelieveable price as well! We left the place feeling ecstatic with our findings and made our way back to London for Josh's friend's birthday party.
It was certainly one of those days when you wish you were lounging and lazing around at home, but hey ... it was a great day out anyway and if anything, it sure felt good strutting around in my new scarf ... ;)
